Winfrey, Wonder among celebs at NAACP Image Awards

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Oprah Winfrey will pay tribute to the late Nelson Mandela at Saturday night’s NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena, Calif.
Winfrey is among the celebrities expected at the 45th annual ceremony honoring diversity in the arts. The show will feature a performance by Stevie Wonder.
Other celebs expected to attend the Pasadena Civic Auditorium ceremony include Kerry Washington, Michael B. Jordan, Terrence Howard, Alfre Woodard, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry, Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson. “Treme” and “Guys with Kids” actor Anthony Anderson is hosting.
“12 Years a Slave,” ”Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” ”Fruitvale Station,” ”Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” and “The Best Man Holiday” are vying for the motion picture trophy.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the TV One channel.
