History took place when two females were ordained to the Sixth Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, in Lincoln-Larimer, on May 18, as Deacons under the auspices of the members of its church board of deacons; Rev. Dr. W. David Lee, pastor of Sixth Mt. Zion; Rev. Nathaniel Pennybaker, pastor of Triedstone Baptist Church of Rankin; and members of the congregation. This was a monumental milestone event for Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, a first in its 116 years of existence. Both, the Sixth Mt. Zion Choir and Triedstone Baptist Choir sang its praises during the event.
