“Black women are beautiful and I’m not just saying that because I am one. Well, maybe I am but we are! Black women are expected by some to abide by the ridiculous White American standard of beauty, a standard that even White women have a hard time reaching. Variety is indeed the spice of life and beauty comes in many forms. Black women are born in various shades that may change over a lifetime. We have unique and exotic features and hair textures that range from fine to coarse. Our beauty should be celebrated and put on display, not made to feel less than. That’s what this list is all about,” said Leigh Langston, owner of the Dangerous Lee News & Entertainment Network.
