Not only the finest place to be, but by far the safest place to be was at Achieving Greatness Inc.’s 14th Annual Allegheny County and Pittsburgh Public Service Awards honoring local heroes.
Every major public service department in both the city and the county was recognized and selected representatives were honored for outstanding achievement and service that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
The event has been held each year since 9-11 to call attention to and honor those who protect and serve. It is strongly endorsed and supported by both County Chief Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Mayor Bill Peduto, and co-sponsored by Highmark, Cosmos Technologies, attorneys William Caye, and William and Jack Goodrich.
