PITSBURGH, PA – The City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols the weekend of June 19, 2015, 11 p.m. – 4 a.m. in the South Hills and West End.
This ongoing effort is in conjunction with PennDOT’s Western Alliance/ Team DUI Program, which consists of the Pennsylvania State Police and numerous local police departments.
“The Checkpoints and Roving Patrols are effective tools to help remove impaired drivers from our highways,” says Zone 6 Cmdr. Chris Ragland.
It is the City of Pittsburgh’s DUI Task Force goal to reduce the number of DUI related incidents and make the highways a safer place for all the residents of Pittsburgh and everyone who visits the area.
