City to host USWNT World Cup watch party in Oakland Sunday

PITTSBURGH, PA – The City of Pittsburgh will host a World Cup Watch Party at Schenley Plaza in Oakland on Sunday, July 5, to cheer on the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) as they take on Japan in the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup Final.

Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with a musical performance from Element on the Citiparks Show Mobile. Pre-game coverage begins as 6:30 p.m. prior to a 7:00 p.m. kickoff between the United States and Japan.

The Watch Party is presented in part by the Pittsburgh Dynamo Youth Soccer Association.

The family friendly event will be free and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in support of Team USA. Alcoholic beverages and grills are not permitted. Rain or shine.
