Sisters Chandel and Cieayrra Boozer, of East Liberty, have some very lofty pursuits when it comes to career choices. Their maturity is underpinned with a quiet dignity and grace.
Chandel, 23, and Cieayrra, 21, have stellar educational histories, a reflection of their individual desire for excellence and the tools instilled in them by their mother, Hope Luttrell of East Liberty.
“I took a very hard line with them early, was tough and didn’t give much leeway, which often annoyed them,” Luttrell says. “I believe now, though, that they see what I wanted for them—to be successful, and have bright futures.”
Both sisters are alumnae of Oakland Catholic High School and Chandel is a first-year law student at Villanova University. She had been accepted at several colleges after graduating from high school. Her first choice was American University, but she ultimately left the school and entered the University of Pittsburgh, from which she graduated with honors.
