Candidates Forum
APRIL 7—The African American Chamber of Commerce will host a candidates forum for those individuals running for State Representative for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Districts 19 and 24. The Forum is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Lawrence Welk Room, mezzanine level, at the Omni William Penn Hotel, 530 William Penn Place. State Rep. Jake Wheatley, D-19, and his opponent Jessica Wolfe are confirmed to appear, as are State Rep. Ed Gainey, D-24, and his opponent William Anderson.
Walk for One Promise 2016
APRIL 9—Annual charity walk to generate funding support the Pittsburgh Promise scholarship program. Participants choose a 5K or half-marathon to raise essential grassroots funds for the Pittsburgh Promise.
