Denzel Washington and Kenny Leon, director of “The Wiz – Live” surprised the audience at the August Wilson Monologue competition at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture recently. Both Leon and Washington are in Pittsburgh in preproduction for August Wilson’s “Fences,” which begins shooting mid-April.
