Also on Saturday night there was a ladies night out at A Woman’s Touch in Penn Hills. This is always a fun evening to try on clothes, enjoy some tasty food and talk with friends. This weekend was also FROG weekend. The FROGs is a men’s social organization that has been around since 1910. They held a formal dinner dance on Saturday and a picnic on Sunday. Watch this page for pictures and details.
Also on Saturday there was Fashion at the Foyer. If you like fashion shows and like to go places where you can dress up, this would have been for you. Thanks to Facebook I saw some of the pictures from the event and it looked like a great show. There have been a lot of great fashion shows in the city and keep in mind, ladies and gentlemen, the Ebony Fashion Fair is not coming back. It is time to support this group of young fashionistas in their efforts.
On Friday I stopped by the grand opening of The Shop and the second location of The Natural Choice located on N. Dallas Ave. in Homewood. Reportedly over 300 stopped by. The business is owned by barber and DJ Nate Mitchell. Also on Saturday there was the August Wilson Community Mural Painting Day. This looked like fun for the family and I understand they will do this again. So much to do, so little time, it’s a ‘burgh thing.
