MAYOR-ELECT ED GAINEY
Gainey Transition Team Co-Chairs Angel Gober and Silas Russell announced on Dec. 20 the establishment of four committees of community leaders and subject area experts who will meet together and with the public in order to develop actionable policy recommendations to the mayor.
Mayor-elect Ed Gainey expressed his gratitude to the many people who will work from January through April to create the transition reports. “As we set out to make Pittsburgh a city where all of us — no matter our race, gender, or neighborhood — have the opportunity to thrive, we must all work together to identify and work toward solutions to our most pressing problems. These outstanding advocates, activists, and experts are truly a reflection of the views and perspectives of a broad swath of Pittsburghers. They will engage with each other and the larger Pittsburgh community to help chart an actionable, equitable path forward. This transition plan provides an overview of my governing principles, priorities, and goals, and I am extremely grateful to the Pittsburghers who stepped up to serve on the transition committees.”
