Donald Trump is a master of exaggeration, misinformation and disinformation. All are fancy words to say that if his lips are moving, he is lying. However, he was truthful about one issue, his admiration for dictators. He even said that he would be dictator for a day. He just didn’t tell us how long his day would be. To be clear, Donald is not a president; Donald is a dictator.
According to the Oxford Dictionary, a dictator is “a political leader who has complete power over a country” or “a person who behaves as if they have complete power over other people.” This definition fits Donald.
There are three main characteristics of a dictator. (1) Dictators tend to resort to force or fraud to gain political power; (2) Dictators use intimidation, terror, and the suppression of fundamental civil liberties; and (3) Dictators employ techniques of mass propaganda to sustain public support. Donald tells us continually that it is all about him; he is the great dealmaker. Dictators are also narcissistic. These characteristics fit Donald.
Dictators demand loyalty to themselves personally and not to the country. This fits Donald.
Dictators will use the military to keep themselves in power and against their own people. This also fits Donald. According to Donald’s own statements, he will recall American troops from overseas and station them at the border with Mexico. He has suggested that he will use the military for deportations and for “the enemy from within” the United States.
Dictators take away your right to vote. Donald has also stated that if he was elected this time (which he was), we would not have to vote again.
WAKE UP, AMERICA. You didn’t elect a president. You elected a dictator.
