Fred Brown strengthens the organizations communities depend on. As President and CEO of The Forbes Funds, he leads efforts to build nonprofit management capacity and impact across 12 counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania, bringing more than 35 years of experience to that mission.

Previously President and CEO of Homewood Children's Village, Brown established the Innovation Lab for Nonprofits, giving leaders opportunities to explore diversified revenue, shared systems, succession planning and collaboration.

His work also connects community development with environmental sustainability. The Imagine Larimer platform enabled residents to help design an environmentally sustainable neighborhood, contributing to the Larimer Consensus Group's successful pursuit of a $30 million HUD CHOICE Neighborhoods Award.

Through grassroots leadership training and youth STEM initiatives, Brown expands access to knowledge and opportunities in the green economy.

Recognized by the Ford Foundation as a 21st Century Environmental Justice Leader, Brown brings a systems perspective to service, helping nonprofits strengthen operations while equipping residents to participate in shaping their communities' futures.
