More than a month after being cut out of his vehicle after a horrific car accident near Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Macedonia Baptist Church in the Hill District Pastor, Rev. Jason Barr Jr., has been released from the hospital and is at home recuperating.

Elder John Holloway, a representative for the family, said, “There is really no further update other than Rev. Barr is out of rehab, at home recuperating and is going to outpatient therapy three times a week.” Holloway explained that Rev. Barr is attending not only physical therapy but regular check-ups with his doctor to make sure things are alright because he suffered a serious concussion and had major surgery on his head in 2009.

Reverend Barr was seriously injured on Dec. 15 when a vehicle that had been hit by another vehicle ran into his SUV. He was cut out of his vehicle and taken to an undisclosed hospital.

While Holloway is unsure of the length of time that Rev. Barr will remain out of the pulpit, the family still appreciates the continued prayers for him and their family.
