Foolishness of Preaching
    OCT. 11—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host its annual “Foolishness of Preaching” Worship Services at 7 p.m. Pastor Karen Garland, of First Baptist Church of West Mifflin, will be the guest preacher. The service is designed to be evangelistic and focus on preaching that truly ministers to lost souls as well as growing Christians and leaders. Pancake Breakfast
    OCT. 12—Beulah Presbyterian Church, 2500 McCrady Rd., Churchill, will host its 11th Annual Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The menu will include buttermilk, buckwheat and gluten-free pancakes and will feature a performance by the Beulah Band. Career Day
    OCT. 12—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host a Career Day from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The day is for teens in grades 9-12 and they will be introduced to professionals from all career experiences as well as career opportunities that most do not consider. F.R.A.N.GELISM Month
    OCT. 13—Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 6556 Shetland St., East Liberty, will host its F.R.A.N.GELISM Month at 10:15 a.m. Each Sunday during the month of October there will be a special celebration. Grand Opening Celebration

    OCT. 13—The NAACP Pittsburgh Unit will host its 11th Annual Freedom Sunday at 4 p.m. at St. James AME Church, 444 Lincoln Ave., Lincoln-Larimer. The guest preacher will be Rev. Dr. Randall Bush of East Liberty Presbyterian Church and the Minister of the Year honor will be bestowed upon Rev. Darryl Canady of Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church.     OCT. 14—The Zion COGIC, 8304 Frankstown Ave., Wilkinsburg, will host its Day of Prayer and Consecration from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The theme is “Just for a Day” and is designed to call attention to the violence, aggression and social ills of the Black community citywide. Pink Ribbon Fashion Show

Music on the Hill
