Focus on Renewal Gala
OCT. 12—Focus On Renewal will host its 44th Anniversary Celebration at 6 p.m. at the Father Ryan Art Center, 420 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rock. The theme is “A Taste of Sto-Rox.” Father Regis Ryan, the recently retired executive director, will be honored for his impact on the Sto-Rox community. Fashions for a Cure
OCT. 13—Selections by Genea &Eric will host the 9th annual Fashions for a Cure Fundraiser from 2-6 p.m. at the Willow Room, 800 Plaza Dr., Belle Vernon. Proceeds from the fashion show and luncheon will benefit the Hillman Cancer Center’s Patients Assistance Fund, which assists underinsured and uninsured cancer patients with getting the treatments they need. Plaza Grand Opening
OCT. 19—The Hill House Economic Development Corporation, the Hill House Association and others will host the Grand Opening Celebration of the Centre Heldman Plaza from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Centre Avenue, between Heldman and Dinwiddie Streets, Hill District. There will be entertainment, food, children’s activities and more. Walking Tour
OCT. 19—The McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center will host a Walking Tour of the Historic Monuments of Renziehausen Park at 1 p.m. at 1832 Arboretum Dr., McKeesport.
