Let’s Talk About It

OCT. 10—Kings Not Kids will host “Let’s Talk About It!” Part 3 at 8 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Improv, 166 E. Bridge St., Homestead. This is a show formatted for mature adults to talk candidly on relationship related subjects. The featured participants will be Vanessa Doss, Carlotta Zachary, Kevin Ellerbe, Deon Smalley, Greg Lovelace, comedian White Mike and DJ Chevy of Square1Nation. Focus on Renewal Gala

OCT. 12—Focus On Renewal will host its 44th Anniversary Celebration at 6 p.m. at the Father Ryan Art Center, 420 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rock. The theme is “A Taste of Sto-Rox.” Father Regis Ryan, the recently retired executive director, will be honored for his impact on the Sto-Rox community. Fashions for a Cure

OCT. 13—Selections by Genea &Eric will host the 9th annual Fashions for a Cure Fundraiser from 2-6 p.m. at the Willow Room, 800 Plaza Dr., Belle Vernon. Proceeds from the fashion show and luncheon will benefit the Hillman Cancer Center’s Patients Assistance Fund, which assists underinsured and uninsured cancer patients with getting the treatments they need. The mistress of ceremonies will be Danielle Smith, WGBN Radio, and the Flow Band will provide entertainment. For more information, call 412-233-7242.

Summit Against Racism

OCT. 14—The Black and White Reunion Coordinating Council will host a Summit Against Racism Planning Meeting at the First Unitarian Church, 605 Moorewood Ave., Oakland. Plaza Grand Opening

OCT. 19—The Hill House Economic Development Corporation, the Hill House Association and others will host the Grand Opening Celebration of the Centre Heldman Plaza from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Centre Avenue, between Heldman and Dinwiddie Streets, Hill District. There will be entertainment, food, children’s activities and more. Walking Tour

OCT. 19—The McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center will host a Walking Tour of the Historic Monuments of Renziehausen Park at 1 p.m. at 1832 Arboretum Dr., McKeesport. OCT. 19—The Pittsburgh Gateway Medical Society will host its 50th Anniversary Gala at 7 p.m. at the Marriott City Center Hotel, 112 Washington Place, Uptown. NEED Gala

OCT. 19—NEED will host its 50th Anniversary Gala at 8 p.m. at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. The evening’s celebration will include the honoring of six individuals for their leadership and advocacy, especially the late Sylvester Pace, former NEED president and CEO. Golf Classic
