NOV. 20—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania and State Farm Insurance will host the “Speed Networking: Connecting Remarkable Women” Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Omni William Penn, Allegheny Room, 530 William Penn Place, Downtown. There will be a discussion on how women of all ages and career paths can build powerful networks to help achieve personal and professional success. NOV. 22—The University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center, and Donnelly-Boland and Associates will host its Human Resources Overview for Small Business Owners Seminar from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, Mervis Hall, Oakland. Attendees will learn how to avoid common pitfalls related to building and maintaining a productive workforce. The seminar is geared toward small and start-up businesses. First Step Seminar
DEC. 3—Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center will host the “First Step: Business Start-Up Essentials” from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at Duquesne University, Rockwell Hall, 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown.
