Affordable Care Update
MAY 19—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its Affordable Care Act Update from 9-11:30 a.m. at Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Ave., Downtown. Members Darrell Smalley, of Ernest & Young, and Joseph Vater, of Unkovic & Scott, will give insight on what has happened with the Affordable Healthcare program since the deadline has passed. Brown Bag Lunch Series
MAY 21—The Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania will host its Brown Bag Lunch Series from 12-1 p.m. at 1650 Main St., Pittsburgh. The topic is ‘Six Steps to Writing a Business Plan.” Eric Swift of Swift Advisors Business Consulting and Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center, will teach the right tools to quickly and more easily write a business plan. He will demonstrate C.O.R.P.S.E., a step-by-step process of creating the plan. This is a free event and registration is required.
