Walk for Life
JULY 12—Kierra Keeps Caring Foundation will host the 5th Annual Walk for Life at 10 a.m. at the Schenley Park Trails, Anderson Grove, Oakland. The event, hosted by Purpose of Life Healthcare and Posh Nail Boutique, will include a celebration cookout and recognition of the winner of the 4th annual Gang Violence Essay Contest immediately following the walk. Enrichment Lecture Seminar
JULY 12—Seshemet Community Council will host its Enrichment Study Group Lecture Series 2014 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the CCAC Homewood Brushton Center, 701 N. Homewood Ave., Homewood. Discussion with Sistah Q
JULY 12—The IPET ISUT will host a Discussion with Sistah Q from 2-6 p.m. at 1117 Wood St., Wilkinsburg. The topic will be “Domestic Weapons of Mass Destruction.” Author Qaraandin will present the domestic weapons of mass destruction that are found in food, medicine, personal care products and more.
