Faith Works Tribute
SEPT. 11—The NAACP Pittsburgh Unit will host a Faith Works Tribute from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Long Hall Building, 616 N. Highland Ave., East Liberty. This event will honor faith leaders making a difference in the city of Pittsburgh. Reservations are required by Aug. 31. For more information, call 412-471-1024.
Health & Wellness Weekend
SEPT. 12—State Rep. Jake Wheatley will host the Second Annual Health and Wellness Weekend. The weekend will include a Business Reception/Mixer at 5 p.m. on Sept. 12 at the Lexus Club at the Consol Energy Center; an Uphill 5K Walk/Run and Appreciation Day at 12 p.m. at the Thelma Lovette YMCA, all on Sept. 13; and a Health Expo for African American Living from 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 14.
