For the 14th year, Sister Linda Foster held a Christmas party at the beginning of the month for the soup kitchen, “Big Mama’s Kitchen,” located in Trinity COGIC on Jenny Lynn Street in McKeesport. The soup kitchen, which was open every Wednesday of the month at one time, is is open the last Wednesday of the month. Foster loves to help people and feed them with not only food, but the spirit as well.

There were different games and prizes during the annual event held every year at the end of November or the beginning of December.
Foster said she holds the party because a lot of individuals do not get invited to or have never been invited to a Christmas party.

Every month approximately 20-30 people visit the soup kitchen to watch Christian movies and eat dinner.

On Dec. 6, about 45-50 people at the Christmas party enjoyed a huge spread of food with seconds or thirds available for people who came.
