Arrest made in Larimer home invasion

PITTSBURGH, PA – Pittsburgh Zone 5 has made two arrests in a home invasion in Larimer.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. February 9, 2015 Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Paulson Avenue for a report of an armed home invasion.
According to the investigation, the actors knocked on the door of a residence and forced their way in when the door was opened. The actors were armed with a black firearm and a Taser. Once inside, they took the victims – a 43-year-old male and his 39-year-old wife – upstairs and demanded money and weed. After taking the victim’s cellphones, the actors rummaged through the bedrooms then fled on foot through the front door.
Officers observed two Black males who fit the description of the actors seen fleeing the scene walking on Ashley Street – less than a quarter mile away. As Officers approached, the males fled on foot in opposite directions.
Officers were able to capture both actors – Chaz Simmons, 19, and a male juvenile. Their charges include robbery, burglary, firearms not to be carried without a license, resisting arrest, an criminal conspiracy among others.
