MCG Jazz presents Irvin Mayfield & The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra at 7 p.m. at the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, 1815 Metropolitan St., Manchester. The mission of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra is to inspire freedom and culture in the individual and the global community. Irvis Mayfield’s virtuosity and devotion to the music has made him one of the most recorded and decorated jazz musicians of his generation. The Meeting
New Horizon Theater Inc. presents “The Meeting” at 7:30 p.m. at the Falk School of the University of Pittsburgh Auditorium, 4060 Allequippa St., Oakland. “The Meeting,” written by Jeff Stetson and directed by Eileen Morris, depicts the supposed meeting of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.
