Fourth suspect charged in death at Homewood bar shooting

A fourth suspect has been charged in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Homewood bar security guard Deion Nesbitt on Feb. 17 at the Rendezvous Phase III bar located in the 7200 block of Hamilton Avenue in Homewood.
Authorities have charged 28-year-old Kevin Ford, of Lincoln-Lemington, with criminal conspiracy, criminal homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. According to a release sent out this afternoon by the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety, Ford turned himself in early March 2 at police headquarters.
On Feb. 17, Nesbitt was shot while confronting Harvey Scott Jr. about a gun that patrons reported seeing. Scott and Nesbitt got into an altercation and Scott reportedly shot the guard. An unknown female security guard was also injured. Scott ran and was apprehended blocks away. He is charged with criminal homicide and firearms violation. Nesbitt died upon arrival to a local hospital.
Tiqwan Green and Eric McGuire have also been charged in connection with Nesbitt’s death. Green faces charges of homicide and conspiracy, and McGuire faces charges of homicide, conspiracy and robbery. The two reportedly got involved in the altercation between Nesbitt and Scott.
All four are currently in Allegheny County Jail. The Phase is currently closed, according to the release, and will remain so until further notice.
