Research IV
Position available at University of Pittsburgh, Dept. of Psychology, in Pittsburgh, PA.  Resp. for statistical analysis of study data, including biostatistical apps. to behavioral, physiological, & brain imaging data, & implementation of computational algorithms for molecular genetic analysis. Other duties:  Transfer & save brain imaging data; Perform initial analyses providing data quality control; Align & normalize data & provide initial descriptive analysis; Apply inferential statistics using statistical parametric mapping techniques that control for error rates; Perform primary statistical analyses of Program Proj. data, using analytic algorithms of major statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, STATA & R languages); Perform routine analysis of distributional properties of study variables for compliance w/parametric assumptions, application of appropriate data transformations, & application of multivariate data reduction techniques; Script in UNIX & Matlab environment to facilitate data transfer & multivariate data analysis routines; Research & apply novel statistical & neuroimaging data analysis methods; Identify numerical & statistical problems in freeware used in brain imaging analyses; Assist in prep. of manuscripts & reports presenting project data.  Reqs: Master’s degree or foreign equiv. degree in Psychology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Info. Port Authority is seeking an experienced Public Relations Representative to be responsible for the coordination and oversight of public relations and media relations functions within the Communications Division and in collaboration with other Authority divisions and departments.  Directly coordinates public information requests, including media requests, and supports public relations activities.
Job requirements include:
•BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations or related field.  Directly related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
•Five (5) years’ experience in public relations, marketing, journalism or other relevant area.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with social media technology and trends.
•Effective and professional written and verbal communications skills.
•Valid PA driver’s license.
•Must be willing to take on duties outside of regular business hours, including but not limited to: updating social media channels and website, attending meetings and assisting Public Relations with media-related tasks
