Infant fatally shot in Fineview

PITTSBURGH, PA – At approximately 5 p.m. Zone 1 Officers were dispatched to a residence on Sandusky Court in Fineview for a report of an infant who had been shot.
Officers arrived on the scene at 5:03 p.m. followed immediately by Paramedics.
The 2-year-old infant had been shot in the torso and was transported to AGH where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 5:20 p.m.
Harrison Marshman, Jr. 30, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child. Mr. Marshman is the infant’s stepfather.
Major Crimes Cmdr. Larry Scirotto stated that Mr. Marshman’s “actions were reckless and negligent and caused the death of the child.”
Mr. Marshman’s charges will include criminal homicide and child endangerment.
