PITTSBURGH, PA – At 3 a.m. Zone 5 Officers responded to the 7000 block of Kelly Street in Homewood for a criminal mischief report.
Officers arrived to find the 28 year old male victim’s vehicle had been damaged by an actor known to the victim. The actor—Candance Bey, 41, of McKees Rocks—returned to the scene as Officers were investigating and confronted the victim.
When the Officer attempted to detain Bey, a struggle ensued. Bey struck the Officer twice in the face and ripped his microphone off of his uniform.
Bey was then taken into custody. Her charges include criminal mischief, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and simple assault. A mugshot is not currently available.
The Officer received cuts to his face. Paramedics evaluated him at the scene but did not transport him to the hospital.
