The Woodland Hills Wildcats find themselves back in the WPIAL semifinals, with a big matchup occurring Wednesday, Feb. 28 against Pine Richland, at North Hills High School, 6 p.m. If the 20-3 Wildcats win the game, they’ll head to the Petersen Events Center to play in the WPIAL 6A Championship (March 3) against either Penn Hills or Mt. Lebanon, who will also play Wednesday, Feb. 28.
Woodland Hills’ boys team has never made it to the WPIAL Championship.
Amante Britt has been on a tear this year for Woodland Hills, averaging nearly 20 points per game. Courier photographer Will McBride captured the above photos of Britt, who is a headache and handful for opposing teams. In the Feb. 24 contest against Canon-McMillan, Britt scored 18 points, while teammate Keandre Bowles, in white in the right photo, contributed 16 points to the Woody High win, 57-41.
