by Jacquelyn McDonald, For New Pittsburgh Courier

Kingdom Gate Ministries, located at 733 South Ave. in Wilkinsburg, was filled with excitement and gospel music joy on Jan. 17 as Pastor Deryck Tines and his singers introduced their long-awaited CD and DVD entitled, “We Shall Overcome Someday.” The concert also featured brother, Pastor Ted Mitchell and the Jonathan Love Mime. The crowd rocked and clapped when contributing gospel recording artists Zanetta Wingfield, Curtis Lewis Jr. and Rose Thompson joined in with the choir on one of several selections either written or rearranged by Pastor Tines.

Pastor Deryck Tines and his singers have become repeated guests for many of Pittsburgh’s city gatherings and have been featured at Gov. Tom Wolf’s and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto’s celebratory events.
