Journey To Freedom holding virtual event, Sept. 19

The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that local organization Journey To Freedom is holding its first virtual event on Saturday, Sept. 19, which will benefit its ministry partners in Kenya.

The virtual event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Topics discussed during the event will be abandonment and rejection, anger and bitterness, forgiveness, guilt, and shame and condemnation.

“It’s going to be some great conversation that all leads us back to God’s purpose and power,” said Carolyn A. Jefferson, with Journey To Freedom.

To register for the event, visit the following website: https://www.journeywomen.faith and then click on the registration link. Fee is $20, with the proceeds going to its ministry partners in Kenya. The first 50 people to register will receive a free gift.

“During this pandemic, we have certainly seen the need for encouragement and reminders that our God is faithful and he hasn’t forgotten us,” Jefferson said.
