QUANTITATIVE ANALYTICS AND MODEL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Quantitative Analytics and Model Development Consultant in Pittsburgh, PA, to participate in all aspects of model validation activities. Specific duties include: (i) work with Model Owners and Specialists, and independently perform validations of high impact models (particularly complex models such as those used for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), including Pre-provision Net Revenue (PPNR) models, wholesale exposure at default (EAD) models, wholesale probability of default (PD) models, and related models for similar loan exposures) in compliance with OCC 2011-12 and PNC’s Model Validation Policy and Guidelines; (ii) as a member of the Model Risk Management Group (MRMG), provide oversight and execution to the model validation activities; (iii) receive and review data and assumptions used in models, including model output, in preparation for model validation; (iv) conduct robust and comprehensive model validation testing and analysis in accordance with PNC’s Model Validation Policy and Guidelines; (v) document and present model validation results to the head of the MRMG; and (vi) provide support/analysis on key stress testing models assigned.

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or Business plus 3 years of experience in financial modeling and quantitative validation is required. Must have experience with the following: (i) asset valuation, loss forecasting, capital calculation and risk analysis; (ii) analytic applications for modeling or model risk including model estimation and/or testing model specification for assessing model risk; (iii) theoretical research related to analytic applications for modeling or model risk including model estimation and related hypothesis testing; (iv) statistical and econometric modeling, and data analysis for pandel data and/or cross-sectional data; (v) SAS, R, VBA, Python or Matlab for statistical/stochastic modeling, simulation and large data set manipulation (data sets involving large numbers of records (>10K) or variables (>100) or source systems); (vi) development of testing methodologies including regression and ANOVA statistical tests needed for CCAR/DFAST (Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests) and/or Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) uses, and the creation of working papers; (vii) business decision-making based on statistical modeling or validation; and (viii) presentation of complex statistical concepts that underlie and provide theoretical or empirical support for modeling approaches chosen and research results to non-statistical audiences.

AFCS Third Party

Retail Assistant

Port Authority is seeking a AFCS Third Party Retail Assistant to report all retail sales activity and AFCS fare media and equipment disputes.  Provides prompt and professional resolution to AFCS third-party retailers by assisting with AFCS equipment issues through the AFCS helpdesk and escalates issues when outside of scope.

Essential Functions:   

  • Monitors monthly sales activity of third-party retail outlets. Verifies and validates claims for incorrect charges due to AFCS equipment malfunctions, load errors on sales terminal, or incorrect amounts loaded to cards. Reconciles third-party accounts and generates monthly invoices.
  • Provides responsive, timely support to all third-party retail outlet accounts by providing basic level diagnosis of remote Sales Outlet Terminal equipment to identify source of problem and either assists client by working through processes or escalates issue as needed. Submits monthly reports summarizing helpdesk activity and follow-up.
  • Act as the liaison between Port Authority and third-party retailers regarding AFCS equipment and Scheidt Bachman to arrange maintenance services. Follows through with client to ensure issue has been resolved. Schedules service maintenance.

Job requirements include: 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree or successful completion of two (2) years or college level coursework in Business

Administration or related field. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.

  • Three (3) years of experience in Finance
  • Two (2) years of experience providing process or administrative support
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Effective and professional communication skills, including strong telephone skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work objectives and schedules.

 Preferred attributes:

  • Customer Service experience.
