St. James AME Church, 444 Lincoln Ave., East Liberty, hosted a “Black Women in Opera: A Tribute to the Pioneers,” May 23, 2026. The featured vocalist for the afternoon was Amanda Neatrour, former Pittsburgh City Council candidate who is professionally trained in classical voice performance and opera, and holds two degrees from Howard University in those fields.
