“Let them eat cake and when they become hungry again, let them eat more cake.”
(Quote by an unidentified heir of Marie Antoinette attending the Donald Trump UFC birthday fiasco held at the White House outside ballroom on June 14, 2026.)
Hey folks, have you been paying attention? Well, if you haven’t, please allow me to bring you up to speed. While Donald Trump was in the process of spending millions of dollars recently just to stage a UFC cage match which is the human equivalent of a cockfight as a birthday present for yourself, the remainder of the population of America has been counting pennies (which no longer are supposed to exist), as they debate whether to purchase one or two slabs of spareribs to celebrate July 4th. Does anyone consider it ironic that Donald Trump has an investment in the UFC’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings?
According to recent financial disclosures, he purchased somewhere between $15,000 and $50,000 worth of shares back in March 2025. Truth be told, if there were a genuine cage match, the American people would have been locked inside of that economic and socially “gilded cage” armed only with cap guns, while the opponents have been provided with AK-47s.

Does the irony continue with the fact that this investment coincided with his promotion of the UFC event that recently took place on the White House South Lawn, Sunday night, June 14? Trump has allegedly invested in the company that stands to benefit from the extra publicity that that event generated. How can a man be sued for allegedly not paying painters and plumbers, but spends excessive amounts of money from the government without hesitation? Presidents Barack Obama and Theodore Roosevelt are and were sportsmen, but they didn’t spend millions of dollars filling out March Madness brackets or by going on a safari or two, did they?
There is also a flurry of activity simultaneously taking place around the former east wing of the White House during the construction of a “vital” and falsely secure $1 billion “armor plated ballroom,” just in case the revolution is televised and the folks in the ‘Big House’ may watch it uninterrupted. People theorize that the additional security is justified because of the multiple assassination attempts on the president and that may be true. I also agree with protecting the president regardless of the cost. Is it justified to shut down New York City just so president could avoid a boring evening by personally attending a hoop game?
What happened on September 19, 2014? A knife-wielding intruder identified as Omar J. Gonzalez scaled the north perimeter fence and entered through the unlocked North Portico doors around 7:20 p.m. He was carrying a 3.5-inch folding knife and was subdued by U.S. Secret Service officers inside the East Room.
Some people blamed the security lapse on the fact that at the time of the breach, President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and their daughters were en route to Camp David, avoiding immediate risk but prompting heightened security reviews and reforms.
How much funding was committed to the security of President Obama and his family after their security was breached not once but twice? On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at approximately 10:37 p.m., a car crashed into a barrier that was placed to protect the perimeter of the White House. The driver was taken into custody for mental evaluation.
Donald Trump always conveniently uses athletes of color as a springboard for publicity when he decides to attend a sporting event. Any sporting event he will always and only be motivated by the publicity that he will be able to glean from the activity. I am shocked that he has not placed a full-page ad in the New York Times portraying the Houston Rockets center Victor Wembanyama as “classless” for refusing to shake hands with the New York Knicks players after the Knicks defeated the Rockets for the NBA championship.
If Victor Wembanyama has been called “classless” for avoiding a handshake with the opposition after a disappointing loss, how can the character of Tom Brady continue to be worshipped after he refused to shake Eli Manning’s hand when the Giants defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII? Also, do many of you remember Super Bowl LII? That’s when many people expected Tom Brady to provide a masterclass for the Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles, but Foles was the one that sent Tom Brady out to get one of “grandma’s switches” so that Nick Foles could administer the discipline and wake up call that the Patriots needed.
Oh, I almost forgot. Here are a few quotes from “Sir Lie-a-lot,” not Sir Lancelot that were featured on “Untruth Antisocial.” “Sir Lie-a-lot” said: “Congratulations to Jim Dolan and the New York Knicks! What a year it has been but, even more so, what incredible playoff wins we have all witnessed, especially the last four—Maybe the greatest in the history of basketball. Also, tonight, a superstar was born. His name is Jalen Brunson, and there are others, including, Karl Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, and great Patriot, Mitchell Robinson! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP. Maybe the greatest in the history of basketball?”
I guess all the Los Angeles Lakers championships and the Chicago Bulls titles, and the Wilt Chamberlain-Bill Russell clashes are a moot point? I guess the New York Knicks’ championship win is one of the primary reasons that America will become great again? I’m sorry, history cannot be rewritten, because America and basketball are and have never stopped being great!
