NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that on August 11, 2026, at 7:00 o’clock PM at the Braddock Borough Municipal Building, 415 6th Street, Braddock, Pennsylvania, the Council of the Borough of Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania will act on an Ordinance to amend the earned income tax rate on residents and non-residents of the Borough of Braddock.
The proposed Ordinance would levy a two percent (2.00%) tax on all earned income and net profits on residents of the Borough of Braddock and a one percent (1.00%) tax on all earned income and net profits earned by non-residents for work done or services performed or rendered in the Borough of Braddock.
The increase in the earned income tax rate is necessary to offset revenue shortfalls, address increased operational costs, and ensure the fiscal stability of the Borough of Braddock. Council has determined that the increase is essential to maintain the fiscal health of the Borough of Braddock and to continue providing necessary services to its residents.
The earned income tax increase is estimated to generate approximately $51,737.07 in additional annual revenue for the Borough of Braddock in fiscal year 2027.
If adopted, the increased earned income tax rate will become effective on January 1, 2027.
The Ordinance in its entirety will be on display in the Borough of Braddock’s Municipal Building and shall be available for view during normal business hours.
