The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that not only is the new “Citizens Live at The Wylie” music venue holding a hiring fair from Aug. 14-16, 2026, but on the first day of the job fair, Aug. 14, only Hill District applicants will be interviewed.
The Hill District-only job fair on Aug. 14 runs from 5 to 9 p.m., and the job fair will be held at the Double Tree Hotel, One Bigelow Square, Downtown, just a stone’s throw from the new venue.
Two forms of identification should be brought by all applicants to the job fair. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
The other two days of the job fair, Aug. 15 and Aug. 16, are open to applicants from anywhere. On Aug. 15, the job fair runs from 5 to 9 p.m., and on Aug. 16, the job fair runs from noon to 4 p.m., all at the Double Tree.
Open positions include operations, VIP upsells, cleaning, merchandise, security, guest services, and more, according to a Facebook post from Citizens Live at The Wylie. The music/event venue said it hopes to hire 350 people at a starting rate of $20 per hour.
“From the very beginning, we’ve said that Citizens Live at The Wylie is about more than bringing great live music to Pittsburgh—it’s about becoming part of the Lower Hill community,” said Tom Loudermilk, Pittsburgh Market President, Live Nation, in a statement to the Courier, Aug. 4. “Dedicating our first hiring event to Hill District residents is one way we’re putting that commitment into action. We want local residents to have the opportunity to be part of the venue’s story from day one, and we’re excited to build a team that reflects the neighborhood we’re proud to call home.”
Citizens Live at The Wylie’s first Hip-Hop musical act will be Pittsburgh’s own Wiz Khalifa, Friday, Oct. 2. Other musical acts coming to the venue include Chance The Rapper on Oct. 11, Boyz II Men on Oct. 16, Smokey Robinson on Oct. 23, and the Hip-Hop artist Glorilla on Nov. 2.
