But as of right now, your Pittsburgh Steelers are undefeated and will be so until at least Thursday, August 13, when they open up the 2026 season with a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. And in case you’re still in THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM, THE BLACK AND GOLD reported to St. Vincent College in Latrobe this past on July 28 to start what will probably be one of the hottest training camps in recent memory, given the heat strokes we’ve been through the past month.
:09—BTW, call it coincidental, ironic or great penmanship by the NFL…but at the very least interesting, that new Steelers Head Coach Mike McCarthy opens up against his former team, the Packers? As I predicted last December, Aaron Rodgers (the only 4-time NFL MVP in league history) will be your starting quarterback. #2. The O-Line has been re-stacked and will be better. #3. There are new receivers in the house. Rodgers can now start to go about his business the way a legend should. #4. The defense will be better because they can’t be any worse. #5. And I am not shouting this out…just a whisper, but there’s a new coaching staff…let’s see what’s next, let’s see!
:07—-This is not meant to be disrespectful, by now you’ve heard that Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Coordinator, Eric Bieniemy’s 27 year-old son, Elijah Zion Bieniemy, allegedly shot his mother and Eric’s wife, Mia. She is in stable condition and he’s been arrested. It gives me reason to pause as to how many players have spoken about how tough, abrasive, and hardcore Coach Bieniemy is in games and in practice. Point being, sometimes coaches and players don’t leave it on the field. Maybe it was a tumultuous home life for all involved???
:06—Yeah, yeah, yeah, LeBron James left a team to go to yet another team to try to win a ring in hopes he can get on the same Mt. Rushmore with Michael, Kobe, Kareem, and Magic. Not gonna happen, boys and girls, not gonna happen. Reason being, Joel Embiid will be hurt half the season as usual, Jaylen Brown will not end up happy with this scenario…(did you not follow what happened in Boston?), and the 76ers have not been confused with the greatest defensive unit in the NBA. I am just sayin’!
:05—Hey! Have you heard much about former NFL star quarterback Tony Romo’s drunk driving arrest? No, and you won’t. (We’re talking privilege here, people, and I mean______ privilege. You fill in the blank. You’re not going to get me dismissed from the Courier. Mr. Doss don’t play that!

:02—“They” say he’s the next Tiger Woods. Give it time before you crown him, but as of now, Jackson Koivun, all of 21 years old, is sitting on top of the world as he secured his first PGA Tour victory in just his third professional start by winning the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities, and he did it in grand fashion by holding off world number one Scottie Scheffler.
:01—For the record, the dismissal of former Pittsburgh Steeler superstar and sports commentator Ryan Clark from ESPN was both unjust, unfair, and unprofessional, especially given that the man actually almost literally gave his life to play football (remember he played while having sickle cell anemia and almost lost his life at the Mile High Stadium game in Denver!)
:00-00—Double Overtime—Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Passion women’s professional football team, the three-time world champions fell short this time in an effort to win a fourth title. But if I know Teresa Conn, founder and president of the team, and I do, they’ll be back in contention next year. After all, the name and memory of Franco Harris is still associated with the team as their previous co-owner, and we all know Franco Harris has been known to perform miracles.
