:10—To all the good people out there that I’ve met over the last couple of weeks who are loyal readers of “Overtime” (Not you every-now-and-then, only when your names are in the column, like “Buddy” in Monroeville readers, but you “True Blue” readers.) :09—The legendary “Nite of the Champions” is beginning to take its historic form for the 38th Willie Stargell Pittsburgh MVP Awards Banquet. You already know that Federal District Court Judge, and hometown native, Reggie Walton is the keynote speaker. And you also know that “The Zak Master”…AKA Greg Lloyd is coming home to be honored. But did you know that four-time Steelers Super Bowl Champion Larry Brown is going to be a special guest? Well if you didn’t know that you probably didn’t know that karate hall of fame legend Jacquet Bazemore is being honored, along with former NFL stars David Dinkins and Eugene Baker. Man, this is gonna be special and you’re not gonna want to miss it. The attire is After Five, not formal and tickets are just $50. Proceeds benefit the Champions Toys for Tots Christmas Party & Toy Giveaway.
