Free Career Development Classes
JAN. 15– Pennsylvania Women Work will host free Career Development & Computer Classes through the New Choices Program from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Homewood YWCA, 6907 Frankstown Ave., Homewood. This will be a five-week course that will focus on Microsoft Word, career development, resume writing, goal setting, personality testing, networking and more. Registration is requested. Meeting with the Mayor

Kelso Lecture
JAN. 19—The Pittsburgh Theological Seminary will host the 2014 Kelso Lecture at 3:30 p.m. at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 250 N. Highland Ave., East Liberty. There will be a special presentation to honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., followed by the presentation of “Radical Revolution: Ready or Not!” by Dr. Iva E. Dr. King Celebration
JAN. 20—SLB Radio Productions Inc. will host “Celebrate Dr. King’s Birthday” from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at SLB Radio, Children’s Museum, 10 Children’s Way, North Side. King for a Day allows kids and adults to step up to the historic microphone and read a portion of Dr. King’s speeches as well as listen as others experience the powerful words and vision.
