Food Competition
JULY 20—Classic Events! will host its “TASTE O’da BURGH” Food Competition at 12 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 11524 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills. This competition is for grill masters, caterers, bakers and culinary professionals. This is an opportunity for those individuals to sow off their “mad cookin’ skills.” Trophies will be awarded to the top three winners. Vendor space is available. JULY 20—The NAACP Pittsburgh Unit, Bethel AME Church and Get Covered American will host “Learn How to #GetCovered!” from 1:30-3 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, 2720 Webster Ave., Hill District. This is a seminar for individuals in need of health insurance. They will learn about financial assistance available, receive free in person assistance and more. St. Clair Village Reunion

Ride For Peace
JULY 26—Iron Cross Community Ministries will host its 6th Annual Ride For Peace Motorcycle Ride at 12 p.m. at Three Rivers Harley Davidson, 1463 Glenn Ave., Glenshaw, Pa. The event will begin at Three Rivers Harley Davidson and end at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, in East Liberty, where there will be celebration after the ride. Over 200 motorcycles will be coming together in the name of unity and riding through the neighborhoods where there have been issues of violence. DHS SummerFood Program
ONGOING—The Allegheny County Department of Human Services will host its annual SummerFood Program at various locations throughout the count. The program provides a free nutritious breakfast and lunch, along with recreational activities, to children up to age 18 as well as eligible individuals with disabilities on weekdays.
