Man, 18, shot during home invasion in Crafton Heights

PITTSBURGH, PA – At approximately 6:15 p.m. March 7, Zone 6 officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Berry Street in Crafton Heights for a shooting/home invasion in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered one male who had been shot multiple times in the upper body.
It was believed that three actors had entered the home but only two exited. The victim was safely removed from the home and SWAT was called to the scene.
According to the investigation, two Black males and one Black female knocked on the door and made entry into the home. One male was wearing a red jacket and gray sweatpants. The other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants with a Buffalo Bills hat. The other was wearing a green shirt and a brown scarf. One had a firearm.
SWAT cleared the home and did not find a third actor. The 18-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.
