Guest Editorial …Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel should resign as mayor

That Philadelphia Police Chief Charles Ramsey says he would be “happy” to assist Chicago, “in terms of consulting or advice” following its top cop’s resignation, probably brings some comfort to embattled Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
But it doesn’t address one of the main problems of Chicago’s official response to the shooting of 16-year-old Laquan McDonald. And that’s Rahm Emanuel. He must go.
Defendant and former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke may have worked under the supervision of police superintendent Garry McCarthy, whose resignation Emanuel sought and received last week.
But let’s be clear, this cover-up stinks all the way to the top.
