Controversy…Jason 'Uncle Tom' Whitlock rears his ugly head again

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost the AFC Divisional playoff game to the Denver Broncos by the score of 23-16.  There I said it.  I won’t be eating any Rice-A-Roni and shrimp in the press box in Santa Clara on February 7.  However, there are subjects that disturb me other than a Steelers loss.
For over thirty years I have covered and written about sports. Although I ply my craft for an African American publication, most of my readers know that I have always attempted to maintain objectivity, balance and fairness when chronicling a sporting event or a group of athletes’, regardless of the racial identity of the participants.
You can also count on one hand any responses that I have put forth regarding the work of a fellow journalist or commentator, but in the case of one Jason Whitlock, my fingertips seemed to be laced with acid just typing the name of this sad, mere facsimile of a man.
A few days after the Steelers/Bengals playoff matchup, Whitlock had this to say about Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin to Colin Cowherd host of “The Herd” on Fox Sports Radio. “He’s clueless and that’s why his assistant coaches and players are clueless,” Jason Whitlock said about Mike Tomlin and the Steelers. He continued on saying; “Mike Tomlin is the most coddled coach, perhaps in the history of professional sports. He’s untouchable and it’s inappropriate. I think the guy is talented, I think he’s done a good job, but he’s not above reproach.”
The blatant bias of Whitlock precludes him from being a legitimate commentator. Call him what you want, but my name for “Big House” Whitlock is “Uncle, Tom, Tom, Tom. He is again out in the “briar patch” horsewhip and field glasses in hand, looking for a Black man to tie to the whipping post trying to as my grandfather used to say; “beat the black out of him.”
Remember when he called Steelers QB Michael Vick a “dumbass?”  It is my theory that he has a certain amount of vitriol for Mike Tomlin because Tomlin decided to give “dumbass” Mike Vick another chance, which went against the reasoning of “Clarence Thomas” Whitlock.
“Whiteface” Whitlock also mentioned that if “[New England Patriots Head Coach] Bill Belichick or [New Orleans Saints Head Coach]Sean Payton did the things Tomlin does, like allowing his coaches to act this way and like tripping Jacoby Jones (then of the Ravens) by stepping onto the field during a kickoff return, we would be shredding him.”
“So why aren’t we shredding Tomlin?”  Cowherd asked.
Whitlock responded; “Because he’s Black and people are afraid to be criticized.  Mike Tomlin is doing stupid things. He needs to be reigned in and criticized and treated like every other coach in the National Football League, he is not above reproach and his team and assistant coaches, out of control on Saturday, and then comes out after the game and says I thought we represented what AFC North football is all about. That’s a joke. He’s clueless and that’s why his assistant coaches and players are clueless.”
Has “Uncle Remus” Whitlock gone insane?  Whitlock did not say that Bill Belichick thought he was above reproach when he and his assistant coaches were caught and fined for cheating. Did he question the “immunity” of New Orleans Head Coach Sean Payton, when Payton was suspended for a year for allegedly sanctioning an “injure for pay” reward system that the New Orleans Saints implemented on his watch?
If Mike Tomlin was caught cheating by illegally videotaping other NFL teams or sanctioning bounties put on opposing players heads, the only football team that Mike Tomlin would be coaching would be the favorite football team owned by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Moscow Morons.
Tomlin would certainly would not be able to find another job even being a locker room attendant in the NFL if he had committed such atrocities.
If you don’t believe me ask Dennis Green.  If you need to expand on that thought, ask Tampa Bay Buccaneers ex-Head Coach Lovey Smith who was fired by phone for reasons that remain unknown shortly after the Buccaneers completed the 2015 season, performing with rookie quarterback Jameis Winston at the helm.
Belichick and Payton are “institutionally” coddled.  Heck, Sean Payton just signed a contract extension with the Saints and Bill “Belicheat” Belichick in all probability will be the Patriots “CFL” or coach for life.
Mike Tomlin is no more coddled than a runaway slave would be after they were apprehended and returned to the plantation.  It looks to me as if Whitlock is breathing a sigh of relief maybe just being regularly employed again.  “Mike Tomlin is the most coddled coach, perhaps in the history of professional sports.” Is just one of the supreme “hater” statements of bile spewing from the bowels of Jason Whitlock.  He is the epitome of a “house Negro.”  That is as politically correct as I am going to get in regards to Whitlock.
Aren’t you tired of white lipped “Uncle Toms” patronizing and spit shining the boots of the media powers-that-be, just to be noticed?  Have Whitlock’s testicles turned from prunes to raisins? One thing that Mike Tomlin or any other Black NFL coach will never have to worry about is being coddled or spoiled.  The scrutiny and criticism that they face on a minute-by-minute basis will never be experienced by a White coach and that is okay by me because no coach, Black or White should be forced to endure “racial” stress.
