Attention job-seekers—PA CareerLink now accepting in-person appointments

The New Pittsburgh Courier has learned that PA CareerLink has reopened their two locations in Downtown Pittsburgh and Forest Hills, though by appointment only.

The longtime company that connects job seekers with employment opportunities is open for in-person visits at 304 Wood St., Downtown, and 2040 Ardmore Blvd., Forest Hills, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The limited on-site services include: copying and faxing documents for unemployment compensation office; employer services; individual customer appointments to complete program paperwork for Workforce; innovation programs; an educational assessment; and use of the PA CareerLink resource room for job search activity.

Services that will still be provided virtually include: adult education classes; employer services; career counseling; eligibility determination for Workforce Innovation programs and service; job search assistance; on-the-job training programs; resume assistance; workshops; and youth programming and work-readiness services.

Social distancing and mitigation recommendations will be followed, and unemployment compensation courtesy telephones will not be available until further notice.
