Brentwood Borough is seeking an enthusiastic team player with an excellent attitude to work with a top crew, performing skilled labor in the maintenance and repair of public works facilities. Duties include maintenance of storm water sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, streets, traffic systems, sidewalks, signs, parks, graffiti removal, tree trimming and planting, abatement of nuisances in the public right-of-way, as well as performing related duties as required. Applicant must possess a current PA Driver’s license at the time of employment. Applicant must possess a current Commercial Driver’s License or obtain one within six (6) months of being hired. The successful candidate must be able to respond to emergency call outs in the evenings and on weekends when necessary. Qualifications require graduation from high school or GED equivalent and approximately three (3) years of experience in a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work. The applicant is required to know how to operate, maintain and repair equipment and vehicles as well as have experience in carpentry and related building trades. Employer will secure drug testing for all new job applicants per the collective bar- gaining agreement. New employee will be on a six (6) month probationary period from the date of hire as a full-time employee.
A written test will be scheduled on the date of a candidate’s oral inter- view. Applicants must be free from conditions that would preclude satis- factory performance of the essential functions of the job applied for.

Applications are being accepted by the Borough of Brentwood for seasonal Public Works employees for the 2021 summer season. Applicants must be 18 years of age. The job will involve mowing grass, trimming shrubs, shoveling asphalt, installing signs, painting, and general labor work. The applicant is required to wear steel-toed shoes.
