LEARNING AND
DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Learning and Development Associate to coordinate all aspects of New Hire Orientation – scheduling, communicating with applicants, assisting with paperwork completion, and ensure the daily schedule stays on track. Support new employees and their managers throughout the onboarding process. Assist colleagues with various functions of the department such as departmental communications, managing employee inquiries, and supporting classroom needs.
Administer employee special programs including tuition reimbursement,
student loan repayment assistance, and police training and education incentive. Conduct applicant background screenings when necessary.
Essential Functions:
• Coordinates new hire orientation by creating and distributing communications to PRT’s new hires and presenters. Proctors new hire orientations and acts as a liaison between new hire and hiring department. Conducts new hire orientation tours and monitors completion of orientation trainings.
• Support the department through various duties such as drafting employee communications, running training reports, sending training reminders, processing invoices, supporting instructors before/during courses, and reviewing/proofing trainings and training materials.
• Responsibilities will include supporting additional programs or functions identified for employee recruitment and retention. Conducts background checks on perspective candidates which includes various communications to verify education, previous and current employers, and motor vehicle records.
Job requirements include:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a customer service-focused role.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience managing projects
• Highly competent in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and PowerPoint, with at least two (2) years of experience managing and manipulating data.
• Professional and effective communication skills
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, high volume, and adhere to deadlines and remain detail oriented.
• Willingness and ability to work shifts and pass days.
• Valid PA Driver’s License.
Preferred attributes:
• Associate degree in Communications, Education, Human Resources Management, or directly related field from an accredited school.

COMPENSATION ANALYST
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Compensation Analyst to participate in the planning, implementation, and administration of wage and salary programs for the Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s (PRT) wage and salary programs. Conducts analysis and interpretation related to the organization’s compensation programs. Participates in and interprets compensation surveys. Recommends changes to ensure the maintenance of company compensation objectives.
Essential Functions:
• Uses HRIS system to manage several wage and salary processes, including but not limited to:
o Employee compensation, transfer, job title, and other types of changes.
o Salary plans and structures within Peoplesoft foundational set-up tables for collective bargaining agreements
o Job code and position management information.
o Researching and resolving compensation related issues.
• Participates in transit industry and general industry compensation surveys. Conducts market reviews of company jobs to determine market competitiveness.
• Serves as process owner in administering the performance evaluation process utilizing the E-Performance PeopleSoft module. Participated in the administration of the associated merit program.
Job requirements include:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, industrial relations, or related field from an accredited college or university. Related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience, specifically managing EEOC and FLSA compliance.
• Minimum of (2) years of data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably focused on employee/organizational data.
• Ability to conduct quantitative analyses and interpret data, including wage data, wage trends, and prepare spreadsheets to ensure adherence to compensation strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees and senior executives. Must be comfortable presenting programs to groups and members of senior management using complicated numerical analysis and presenting in an easy-to-understand manner for individuals who may not be mathematically inclined.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment; outstanding planning and time-management capabilities; and superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment; experience working collaboratively with others; capability of adjusting priorities and deviating from routines.
• Knowledge and understanding of state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred attributes:
• Progress towards Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Designation from the World at Work professional organization.
• Training and experience in Peoplesoft Human Resources Management System (HRMS).

FLEET MAINTENANCE
ADMINISTRATOR
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Administrator to establish, coordinate and administer policies, procedures, and documentation necessary for the processing and filing of all bus fleet warranty claims for Port Authority of Allegheny County d/b/a Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT). Also, to promote and continually improve the Bus Fleet Warranty Program. To provide support and assistance regarding troubleshooting and reporting relating to the Maintenance Work Order Information System. Develops and performs complex warranty analyses.
Essential Functions:
• Collects, organizes and interprets warranty specifications. Develops and implements procedures in conjunction with maintenance department to recover labor and parts costs of defective parts which exceed the specified failure rate in warranty contracts, monitors failures which may constitute fleet defect status. Prepares warranty claims to recover funds and/or replacement parts/services from manufacturers or suppliers. Reviews all warranty-related documents to interpret and enforce options available.
• Interprets warranty data to identify trends and presents information to Bus Maintenance management so this data may be utilized to reduce miles between road failures.
• Reviews vendors technical documents and present warranty coverage for compliance with-in federal government specifications and industries standards for optimizing vehicle warranties.
Job requirements include:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree in business or two (2) year technical degree in automotive and diesel or related field from an accredited school.
Related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Work Order and or Warranty Systems.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Customer focused, well organized, and results-oriented.
• Strong computer and statistical analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Preferred attributes:
