Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter celebrates excellence at Pink Lemonade Achievement Awards Brunch
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Alpha Alpha Omega chapter, in partnership with Ivy Charitable Endowment of Pittsburgh Inc., on June 20, 2026, hosted its Pink Lemonade Achievement Awards Brunch, recognizing outstanding scholars and community leaders while investing in the future of the next generation.

The event celebrated individuals whose dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have distinguished them in their educational and personal journeys.
Honorees included Toni S. Kendrick Award recipients: Andrea Johnson of Gateway High School and Kendall Roberts of Perry Traditional Academy. The Non-Traditional Women’s Achievement Award was presented to Jionna Rodgers, a student at Carlow University, in recognition of her determination and academic achievement.

The chapter also recognized Madelyn Hairston Giddens HBCU Achievement Award recipients: Saniya Jones of City Charter High School and Paige Oliver of Penn Hills High School for their commitment to higher education and future success.
The brunch, held in the Hebron Building in Penn Hills, highlighted the importance of scholarship, leadership, and community support, bringing together family members, supporters, and community partners to celebrate the recipients’ accomplishments.
A special acknowledgment was given to UPMC for its generous support, which helped make these scholarships possible and continues to create opportunities for students pursuing their educational goals.
